Where do you shoot?
I shoot out of my apartment in Bay Ridge Brooklyn (You’ll get exact directions when you book!)
It’s about a 45 minute subway ride from Midtown Manhattan / Port Authority. The fastest way to get here, take the D express train to the 36th street stop in Brooklyn, transfer right across the platform to the R to 86th & it’s a short walk from there.
During your shoot, we’ll walk around my neighborhood and take photos in front of “real backdrops” outdoors, using natural light. (weather-permitting) I already have some favorite locations and enjoy “winging it” as well.

What to Wear/Bring:
Bring options. A general guideline is no patterns/nothing distracting; nothing too similar to your own skin tone. Bring something casual and something more dressy. When it comes to color, I LIKE IT! See my post, What to Wear for Headshots for more advice. Ps. Don’t worry about shoes, I rarely shoot feet!
Shoot Length / Time:
Roughly 15-20mins PER look. (Not including make-up/you dilly-dallying in the bathroom.) I walk, talk, & shoot FAST. Plus, poses start looking posed real quickly – So, I don’t waste time.
Shots/Frames per Look
It varies. But I’m very trigger happy. I estimate between 50-80 frames per look. But don’t worry, you’ll have plenty to choose from!
Shooting Style/Weather Policy:
I prefer to shoot with natural light. This means nice weather. However, I’m equipped, capable, and adventurous so if it rains and you don’t want to reschedule, we can make it work in-studio. I shoot a variety of poses/distances, close-ups, 3/4’s, vertical, horizontal, etc. You will have a variety to choose from, so please allow me freedom in capturing you! : )
CD/DVD:
I typically do NOT burn discs any longer. There are many reasons for this, but the bottom line is you’d be hard pressed to find a printer/reprographics place out there nowadays that doesn’t accept your photo files via email or upload. And if you really really WANT a CD, you can burn your own CD/DVD from your computer and know for sure that it’s a compatible disc.
